Itinerary
Thursday, June 22 - Travel to Italy (your expense, not included in trip fee)
Friday, June 23 - Sunday, June 25 | Venice
Upon arriving in Venice, you will be transported by water taxi to Pesaro Palace (our hotel) for the next two nights. As you revel in the romantic and unique sites of Venice, you will be awed by the amazing water canals, beautiful and historic sites, and Italian cuisine. Tours include a historic walking tour of the Venetian sites, gondola ride, and visits to the islands of Murano and Burano. Mollie is also excited to celebrate her birthday with all of you on the 24th while in Venice!
Sunday, June 25 - Wednesday, June 28 | Modena
As we say goodbye to Venice, we will make our way via motorcoach to the Emilia-Romagna region. Modena will serve as our home for the next three nights Hotel Estense as we visit Italy’s car region. While in Modena we will tour the historic Ferrari museum, Masserati, Pagani Hypercars, and Stanguellini factories. We will also have a chance to tour the family owned Acetaia Malagoli Daniela, where we will hear first hand from our guide, Sofia Malagoli, on how she turned her father’s hobby into a profitable business. A visit to a local cheese factory, winery and historic tour of Modena also welcome us, including the traditional story of the creation of tortellini.
Wednesday, June 28 - Saturday, July 1 | Florence
As we continue to make our way south, our next stop will be to Florence, a city known for its culture, Renaissance art and architecture, and monuments. We will get up close and personal while our guide leads us by foot through the city center of Florence, as we see sites such as Piazza della Repubblica, the Medici District, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, and more. Tours to the Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery, home of Michealangelo’s David statue are also included. Our lodging will be at Hotel De Lanzi, near Giotta's Bell Tower.
Saturday, July 1 - Tuesday, July 4 | Rome
In our final stop to Rome, we will be welcomed first to Vatican City where we tour the world renowned Vatican. We will be lodging at Hotel Forum located in the heart of Rome's historical centre, a short walk away from the Imperial Fora, the financial center of the Roman Empire. As we spend the next two days in the city center of Rome, ""siezing the day," you will be enamored as we tour the historic sites of the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, ruins of the many famous structures and systems we still use today, and much, much more. Our final night together we will say goodbye with dinner and a Roman fantasy show.
Tuesday, July 4 - Travel Home from Rome (your expense, not included in trip fee)
**This trip will also includes multiple casual performances by Mollie B & Ted Lange.
**There will be several walking tours. If you are unable, in almost all cases you can choose to stay behind at the hotel.
